Smart Campus Analytical Reporting System (SCARS)
Smart Campus Analytical Reporting System (SCARS) project is a reporting software implemented within Izmir Bakırçay University. SCARS is a system that provides decision support through data processing and reporting. SCARS project aims to make significant social, societal and environmental contributions by improving energy efficiency, education quality and overall campus life during the digital transformation process of the university. The Smart Campus Vision adopted by our coordinatorship, especially the institutional management, constitutes the core values and goals of the SCARS project.
Different types of reports produced with the support of our administrative and academic units in areas targeted for improvement;
- analyzing the current situation
- to make managerial decisions
- to improve campus processes
- contributes to the adoption of an on-campus digital culture.
The reporting system produces more than 100 reports in 3 different types (descriptive, predictive, predictive). Some of these reports are live reports consisting of instant data extracted simultaneously from the information systems of our institution, and some of them are periodic reports consisting of periodic data provided by authorized unit personnel through data entry forms.
Descriptive Report: An objective report that provides comprehensive information about the current status of the components of a process or unit.
Predictive Report: A report that analyzes existing data and makes forecasts in order to predict future trends of processes or units.
Predictive Report: A report that provides recommendations to improve a particular situation or achieve desired results.
